Welcome to the Library

This is not your typical Canuck fan site. You won't find any player pictures, flash introductions, or video clips. What you will find is Canuck information that is not available anywhere else. If this is your first visit to the library, check out the introductory tour page. If this is a return visit, check out what's newest for details on what's happening with the site.

This Day in Canuck History

April 14, 1991: Despite finishing 37 points behind the Kings, the Canucks battled hard in the playoffs. Los Angeles wins game six 4-1 to move on to the second round.

April 15, 1993: Cliff Ronning scores three goals and adds three assists as the Canucks beat the Kings 8-6. The Canucks hit the 100 point mark for the first time.

April 16, 1992: The Canucks finish their strike-interrupted season tying Calgary at four. Pavel Bure finishes his rookie campaign with his team record 34th goal.

This Month in Canuck History

April, 1972: The Canucks finish the season with a 4-1 win over the Minnesota North Stars. Despite the win, the team sets a dubious record for fewest points in a season (48) that was equalled during the 48 game 1994-95 season.

April, 1982: The surprising Canucks start their run to the Stanley Cup Finals. They sweep Calgary in three games, take out the Los Angeles Kings in five games and are playing the Conference Finals against Chicago at month's end.

April, 2011: After winning the President's Trophy for finishing first in the NHL, the Canucks meet Chicago in the first round. After winning three straight, they lose three straight, then win game seven in overtime to advance.

Here's a fun
chart I made during Covid-19. July 23, 2020

That's enough. The Stats pages are up-to-date, the calendar (above) is full and it's time to start the 2016-17 season. Thanks for visiting and watch for more updates next summer. August 29, 2016

Finally! The last of the stats pages have been updated with the completion of One Game at a Time. Results from the last six seasons have been added to every NHL team we have played in that time. July 13, 2016

It's the first new page on this site in a very, very long time: Gordie's Guys. It lists the Canucks that have recorded a Gordie Howe Hat Trick -- a goal, an assist and a fight in a single game. June 22, 2016

I've taken some time away from the Stats pages to update this page. If you look above, you will see a More button. There are now up to three historical notes for each day and each month (a total of 18 possible snippets). Click on the button to randomly display the other notes. Now, I just have to research and add another 600 historical notes to this page. What was I thinking?!? May 25, 2016
