1992-93 Results

The Canucks were hard pressed to improve on the previous season, but they managed to do so. For the first time in their history, the Canucks finished the season with over 100 points (101). Forget the fact that they had four more games to do it in than in previous seasons. Pavel Bure emerged as one of the premiere snipers in the league, scoring 60 goals and recording 110 points (both Canuck team records).

Once again, the Canucks finished first in the Smythe Division and met Winnipeg in the first round of the playoffs. This time they needed only six games to finish off the Jets, although the series was close. In the second round, they met the Los Angeles Kings who knocked the Canucks out of the playoffs in six games. The series featured a heart-breaking double-overtime loss at home in game five.
