Vancouver Canucks vs. Quebec Nordiques

The Quebec Nordiques joined the NHL along with three other teams from the WHA in 1979-80. The Canucks held a slight edge in games between the two teams. After the 1994-95 season (in which the Canucks did not meet the Nordiques), the Quebec Nordiques moved to Denver and became the Colorado Avalanche. The Canucks and Nordiques never met in the playoffs.

Historical Notes: Ron Sedlbauer was the first Canuck to score against the Nordiques ... One of the most famous incidents in Canuck history took place in Quebec City. In March of 1982, coach Harry Neale and several Canuck players got into a fight with the crowd behind the bench. Some credit this event with uniting the team and spurring them on to their fine playoff performance that year ... Trevor Linden was the last Canuck to score against the Nordiques
