games for the Canucks as a rookie.
Ben Hutton was the
Canucks' most productive rookie in 2015-16. He recorded
25 points in 75 games, good enough for 39th place in team
history. Eddie Lack was the last Canuck rookie netminder
to be added to the list based on his performance in the
2013-14 season.

Notes
A player's "rookie season" is determined by the
NHL's definition of a player who is eligible to win the
Calder Trophy. Based on these standards, players may (and
often do) have more than one "rookie" season.
To be considered a rookie, a player cannot have played
more than 25 games in any single preceding season nor in
six or more games in each of any two preceding seasons in
any major professional league. Since 1990-91, only
players under 26 years old are considered rookies.
The Canuck rookie leader
in each statistical category has that number highlighted.
For shooting percentage, the highlighted number
represents the best percentage in this category among
rookies who scored 20 or more points. No number is
highlighted in the Penalty Minute column because Gino
Odjick recorded 296 penalty minutes as a rookie (leading
that category), but only recorded eight points.

Despite recent advances in
NHL statistical information, official sources still
report goaltender times rounded to the nearest minute.
Where my information is more accurate (I think),
I have listed the time played with the seconds included.
Eventually, this information should be available right
back to 1970 -- Research continues.
Prior to the 1982-83
season, official records on total shots faced are not
available. My statistics include shots faced for all
Canuck goaltenders. While every effort is made to have
accurate shot totals, some information may be inaccurate
and should be treated as an estimates only. (I
believe my stats to be accurate within about one percent
over the course of a season). Research
continues.
The Canuck rookie leader
in each statistical category has that number highlighted.
For goals against average and save percentage, the
highlighted number represents the best in these
categories among goaltenders who played ten or more games
in their rookie season.
Since 1999-2000, overtime
losses earn the Canucks a point. These are included in
the "tie" column. Since 2005-06, shootout
losses are also credited to the goalies as
"ties". Any game that earns the Canucks one
point is recorded in the goalie stats as a
"tie".
