Vancouver Canucks vs. Minnesota North Stars The Minnesota North Stars entered the NHL for the 1967-68 season. The North Stars had a winning edge in games between the two teams. After the 1992-93 season, the team relocated to Dallas. The Canucks never met Minnesota in the playoffs. Historical Notes: Andre Boudrias was the first Canuck to score against the North Stars ... Bill Goldsworthy was the first player to record a four goal game against the Canucks (March 21, 1971) ... Cesare Maniago was the first goalie to shut out the Vancouver Canucks (October 20, 1971) ... The Canucks set a team record by tying Minnesota 7-7 on November 6, 1979 ... Harold Snepsts was the first Canuck defenseman to take -- and score -- on a penalty shot (February 2, 1980) ... The Canucks set a team record for most combined goals in a game when they defeated Minnesota 10-9 (October 7, 1983) ... Trevor Linden recorded his first hat trick against the only team that passed on him in the 1988 entry draft -- Minnesota (November 17, 1988) ... Robert Kron was the last Canuck to score against the North Stars. |
