First NHL Goals

Not every player that makes it to the NHL actually scores a goal once they get there. It's a significant event in a young player's career and they often get to keep the puck as a memento of the occasion. Since 1970, over 150 players have scored their first NHL goal while playing for the Vancouver Canucks. This is the list of those players. Six Canucks scored their first NHL goal during 2015-16.

Notes
All of the goals listed came during the regular season as no Canuck has ever scored his first NHL goal during the playoffs. Three times, a player scored his first goal as a Canuck during the playoffs -- Murray Craven (1993), Bret Hedican (1994) and Shane O'Brien (2009). Each player had already scored their first NHL goal with another team.

Matt Bartkowski scored his first NHL goal in the playoffs while with Boston (2012). He did not score a regular season goal until he joined the Canucks. Thanks to Graeme Stevens for pointing this out.

The Canucks have had two players named Mike Brown. The first played 16 games between 2000-01 and 2001-02. The second played 39 games between 2007-08 and 2008-09. The second Mike Brown's name is listed as Mike 2 Brown to distinguish the players.
