I am
married and have lived in Surrey for the past 15 years or
so (I guess Im now officially a Surrey
girl, but it cant really count because Im
technically a transplant from North Delta. Hee hee)
My husband Greg and I have done tons of traveling and
love all things tropical. We have made Mexico our annual
vacation destination and really enjoy the idea of both
the relaxing atmosphere as well as party central. Dos
cervesas, por favor! Thanks to Mrs. Statz for the Spanish
class!
When we arent enjoying the sun, surf and beer
somewhere hot, we can be found on any lake in the BC
Interior with fly rods in hand. Fly-fishing has become
our passion over the last several years and we try to get
away on as many weekends as possible.
Ive worked in Administration for the past 18 years
(doesnt that make me feel old!!), and spent the
last 10 years working for a Heavy Construction/Materials
Handling company in Port Kells. I loved everything about
the industry and a few of our customers were former NDSS
grads, so it was fun catching up.
19 months ago I achieved the single most important thing
in my life by giving birth to our son Benjamin. Better
late, than never, I say! For me, the work bonuses,
employee appreciation acknowledgements or things of the
like can in no way compare to my new career as Domestic
Engineer. It truly is my calling. We worked hard and
waited a very long time for this little miracle and he is
a total joy! In a few years well be heading back to
Mexico to introduce our little bambino to our favorite
place, and this year hell be joining us on the boat
for fishing (unless I can invent a way to fit him into my
float tube with me!).
I check out the grad site from time to time and NDSS
seems like such a long time ago, yet at the same time it
seems like just yesterday that we were all together
looking ahead to the future. What a ride it was! I had a
blast at both the 10 and 20 year reunions and cant
wait till the next one! Thanks again David and the
crew!
Id love to hear from former classmates and
reminisce.
Cheers!
